Wonderful Mark Twain account of his European travels. I read this one 60 years ago and it was nice to visit with him again. It took me a lot longer to read it this time but it was much better this time since I have learned to appreciate life much more than I did when I was only 20 years old. This time I knew to take the time to think about the beautiful descriptions of Europe, particularly Switzerland. I think the older writers were better in their descriptions of places and events since their minds had not been contaminated by electronic devices. Unfortunately, in today's world, we are not allowed to describe events, people, and places as they actually are. Life moves too swiftly for us to enjoy it.
