It's set on my dining room table near a window. It is serving the purpose I had intended, which is to stand straight to read sometimes. Great for presentations, too. It is a bit heavy for someone getting on in years. Each of the two pieces is heavy, but not impossible. I think the bottom of the.planks that touches the table should have been finished, too, to make them smooth. Though they're not visible, they could harm the. surface on which the podium is placed. I've placed the big piece of thick styrofoam under the podium to keep it from scratching anything.Our Pastor uses this for traveling to different locations. It works pefectly.Love it. comes fully assembled. All that's needed to be done is to connect the top piece with the side peice when you take it out of the box...Love it!Easy to set up but also easy to come apart if you were to move it or lift it so be careful. It will collapse. Nothing to really hold it together. But great for a quick set up and temporary location. I sit it on a regular height table and its high. I aam 5’2” and it comes just below my chest so its a little too high for my desire but it works. Looks quality.The podium is well made. It did have a 2 inch scratch on the front edge. Before buying I saw a few reviews that stated the top did not fit onto the stand. Turn it over! I turned it over and it fit perfectly and snug. It should have a label stating top,It is heavy, but as I said well made.Excellent alternative to sitting constantly. We use it for reading, coloring books, sewing, beading, and other crafts that can be done standing. It did not receive a higher rating from me because it is not foldable (and not lightweight) making it awkward to move as well as to store assembled.It was both easy and difficult to assemble. Only a few steps but didn’t match up correctly. Also was chipped. My husband wanted it for his atlas and it’s the perfect size and does the job. So we kept it.Of course this is an excellent idea of a table! The quality of wood is excellent! Here’s the problem. There are 3 blocks of wood on the underside that allows the top To rest on its trifold bade . (One across the top and two opposite one another almost making a square shape )This holds the table top to the base. Two of them were misaligned so the table top Does not mount onThe trifold base. This was a fail. So I returned it in promptly They sent me another unit. That units Blocks were also misaligned but differently and there were several noticeable scratches on the beautiful wood.If they were more careful with the placement of those wood pieces this would be an excellent buy
